Explanation (not Quran text)
The date palm is one of the trees the Quran names. In the story of Maryam (Mary), the mother of Jesus, she is told to shake the trunk of a palm tree so that fresh, ripe dates fall to her (19:25). The Quran also points to tall palms with fruit stacked in layers (50:10), and to their low-hanging clusters among the gifts that grow with rain (6:99). The Prophet ﷺ asked his companions to name a tree whose leaves do not fall and which is like a Muslim, then told them it was the date palm (al-Bukhari 61).

Numbering: standard Bukhari numbering (Fath al-Bari)
Narrated Ibn `Umar:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Amongst the trees, there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim. Tell me the name of that tree." Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas. And I thought of the date-palm tree but felt shy to answer the others then asked, "What is that tree, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" He replied, "It is the date-palm tree
